Turbomachinery Control Systems on Commercially Off-The-Shelf Hardware. Capable, User-Friendly.

Energy Control Technologies (ECT) can solve your most complex turbomachinery control problems delivering maximum production, efficiency, and machine protection on your greenfield and brownfield projects on budget and on time - every time.

ECT regularly replaces legacy proprietary systems having problems that include:

  • control loops in manual

  • excessive surge control margins

  • open surge control valves

  • open loop response resulting in over-opening of valves during upset conditions

  • outdated algorithms

  • parameters that are not enabled

  • obsolete hardware

  • user’s lack of understanding of the system

This often leads to machine trips, lower production, lower efficiency, and higher risk of machine damage.

Don’t just upgrade your current legacy system with their latest “black box” with the same technology. There is a better alternative.

ECT’s world-class turbomachinery control engineers are ready to support you and your project with FEED consulting, legacy system replacement site surveys and economic studies, project and field engineering, simulation support, and training.

WHO WE ARE

Established in 2008, ECT is a leading Turbomachinery Control System company dedicated to increasing production, increasing efficiency, ensuring reliability, and reducing carbon emissions in the industry. Our team solves complex control problems with unmatched project execution to deliver exceptional results.

TESTIMONIALS

Pre Anti-Surge Upgrade - “At reduced gas rates, one LPS compressor old "black box" controller would be in manual to keep the controllers from making extreme adjustments to the anti-surge valve. Operators would have to manually lower anti-surge valve output while bringing on more gas to keep the machines out of EGT. If the compressor approached the surge control line, the old controller would pull the compressor away from surge but upset the Slug catchers with pressure swings from the extreme moves."

Post Anti-Surge Upgrade - "The two ECT surge controllers do not take extreme step adjustments. They work together and the flow is evenly split between the two machines at low gas rates. The surge controls take much smaller step changes that does not cause issues with the upstream process."

Facility Operations, Gas Processing Plant

"After ECT control upgrade of the compressors, performance improved a lot and operators are able to open all of the wells and we maximized production and reduced flaring. Also, operators are able now to run the units in Auto Mode and no more unbalance problems observed."
